Located in the Province of Mpumalanga, Memory Lane is situated in Marloth Park which borders the world famous Kruger National Park.
Directions To Memory Lane, Marloth Park From Johannesburg / Nelspruit
From Johannesburg follow the N12 highway to Witbank (138km), 10km from Witbank the Middelburg Toll Plaza is situated. From Witbank, proceed on the N4 to the Machado Toll Plaza (110km). 1km after the Machado toll plaza take the road which is marked Schoemanskloof, this is part of the N4 and is a scenic route which avoids the other route via the Sappi Ngodwana Paper Mill. The scenic route is approximately 66km long. At the T-Junction, turn left towards Nelspruit which is another 26km. Follow the signs from Nelspruit obeying all the traffic signs and speed limits as there are numerous cameras in Nelspruit. Follow the N4 to the Nkomazi Toll Plaza at Kaapmuiden, for a distance of approximately 39km. From Nkomazi Toll Plaza proceed through Malelane 23km's later then 28km's from Malelane passing by Hectorspruit you will find a sign which reads Marloth Park. Turn left onto the gravel road for approximately 4km's when you will reach the security entrance gate at Marloth Park Township. You will then be on Olifants Road (tar road) then follow the directions as given to you to Memory Lane.
Directions to Memory Lane, Marloth Park from Durban
From Durban take the N2 freeway going north. There are a number of toll gates on this road the first one being outside Umdloti, the Tongaat Toll Plaza. Continue North past Ballito to the Mvoti Toll Plaza. Continue North towards the Mandini Toll Plaza and then on to the Dokodweni Toll Plaza. Continue until you reach the Mtunzini Toll Plaza. From that toll gate continue North along the N2 passing Empangeni, Richards Bay, continuing North through Mtubatuba past Hluhluwe up towards Mkhuze. Distance from Durban to Mkhuze is approximately 301km. From Mkhuze continue for approximately 39km's until you reach the turn off for the Golela Border post which will take you into Swaziland. From the Golela Border post it is 34km to Nsoko and then a further 28km's to Big Bend. From Big Bend there is another 8km's to the turn off to Siteki. A 40km stretch takes you to a number of intersections. Follow the signs towards Maputo but 32km's from that intersection take the turn off left to the Mananga Border Gate. There is a sign for a town by the name of Tshaneni approximately 39km's from the turn off which would take you to Maputo but instead takes you to the Mananga Border Gate. Once you have crossed the border back into South Africa, follow the R571 to Komatipoort, this is a distance of approximately 64km's. At Komatipoort get onto the N4 back towards Malelane and Nelspruit. From Komatipoort follow the N4 towards Hectorspruit and Malelane for approximately 16km's. You should then encounter the sign which says Marloth Park. Turn right onto the gravel road for approximately 4km's when you will reach the security entrance gate at Marloth Park Township. You will then be on Olifants Road (tar road) then follow the directions as given to you to Memory Lane.
